Excellent for twins

I bought this cosleeper for my newborn twins. It was an excellent purchase. Both babies slept beside me in the bassinet. Having them so close was convenient during all those night feeds, nursing sessions, and "mommy checks" to make sure they were still breathing. The bassinet goes up to 30 lbs and it was sturdy enough to hold both babies until they needed more space and we moved them to their cribs. This was a definite advantage over a regular pack n play bassinet (even the Graco twin pack n play) because those aren't sturdy and they only go up to 15 lbs. After the girls outgrew the bassinet I converted it to a pack n play (I did it myself and it was easy enough following the directions) and the girls actually enjoyed playing in it while I showered or got things done. It is a little tough to fold and set up but most pack n plays are. I think it just takes a little practice and getting used to.
A few suggestions - Definitely get the leg extensions if your bed is high. The mattress is a little hard so you can make it softer by putting a quilted mattress pad on it and using a quilted pack n play sheet (by Graco) instead of the cosleeper sheet.

Almost a year after I bought the cosleeper from an auction, I still use it. The first few times I put it up and took it down it was difficult because it didn't unlock easily, but now that I have broken it in, it seems to work more easily. My baby loved sleeping in it for the first five months every night, and now we use it for trips to Grandma's house (using the playpen mode). The pockets on the side were very helpful with my baby being in our room right after we came home from the hospital. If I had it to do over again, I would have had my husband (who is much stronger than I am) put it together and take it apart because it is so safe that I found it difficult to collapse to pack it for trips. Yes, the instructions are not written very well, but I figured it out after trial and error over and over again. I have noticed that these items hold their value for resale. I have enjoyed using this as a bassinet/changing table and a playpen. I hope this review helps.

Originally, I didn't want a co-sleeper. I envisioned a baby nursery for my girl. Our circumstances led us in a different direction (currently living in a one bedroom apartment). I discovered the co-sleeper online and it is the BEST investment ever! I'm not even a fan of Dr. Sears but I can't put into words what an amazing experience it has been. I truly believe co-sleeping made her a great sleeper! 9 hours a night since 3 months! Looking over at your baby while they sleeps is the most incredible experience. It gives you such an incredible sense of security when you have those mini-panics 'is the baby breathing?' (I know everyone has them inthe beginning) and you can give the faintest touch. In general it makes you far less nervous and the baby senses you are relaxed and close. I also soothe my baby very quickly so she goes back down to sleep within 5 minutes or less. Regarding setup, I did have to call because I had a question about set up. The customer service was terrific and very helpful. I've read what other people have written about tilting (I think they are the same people who don't know how to put an Advent bottle together so it won't leak, but whatever), I had to buy extenders because I had a tall bed so I was fine. RE: padding, the mattress is thin but I added a sheet protector underneath the sheet which gave it a little more padding. And yes, when you make it you need to bend one side of the mattress up at a time and then snap the sides down. This is so the sheet is tight and safe and won't some off and possibly cause your baby harm. For the right age this is the safest sleeping option I've ever seen.

This is a great product to use if you are nursing, since you don't have to get up out of bed multiple times a night. It is also lighter than most pack-n-plays, which are usually around 50 lbs. The quality of the fabric and sturdiness when assembled are great, and so much better than most bassinettes I researched. (Most other play yard sheets will work with the pad, so you don't have to spend the extra money on Arm's Reach sheets) NOTE: when assembling, follow the steps IN ORDER...otherwise you may drive yourself crazy. I wish Target carried this product in the store.

Worth the Money, but for one drawback for me

I used this as a free-standing bassinet. I did not attach it to our bed as our bed was too high, even with the purchase of the extra legs to increase co-sleeper height. I was torn between this and a Graco/Fisher-Price playard. We were living in a one bedroom condo when our daughter was born. Obviously, we needed something compact. We weren't sure how long we would be living in the condo, so I anticipated needing a sudo-crib that could support a baby for awhile. I went with the co-sleeper as it is as wide as a crib (27 inches wide) but not as long (36 inches vs. 52 inches). The co-sleeper bassinet holds up to 30 lbs and playpen holds up to 50 lbs, as opposed to a Graco/Fisher-Price bassinet/playard which supports 15 and 30 lbs, respectively. My only complaint regarding this product is that there is no changing table similar to a Graco/Fisher-Price playard. We constructed our own removable changing table using plywood, 2x4s, fabric and a 4-sided changing pad. I think the size of the co-sleeper also made for a smooth transition to a regular crib when our daughter was 2 1/2 months old.

A lifesaver for new mommies!!

We used this cosleeper exclusively until our daughter turned 8 months old in mid-April and was able to pull herself up and scoot. It was a time and lifesaver being able to just roll over at night and feed her. Even though I was not able to continue breastfeeding bc of latching problems I could still bottlefeed all night without really waking up thanks to this cosleeper. It gave me extra moments at night for sleeping that every new mom really really needs! I totally recommend it to anyone considering. Worth every penny!

The idea of a co-sleeper is great, but this particular product has many, many flaws. 1. it is uncomfortable for the baby, no extra padding is available to buy, 2.the sheets shrunk , which made the pad fold,3.it was very hard to fold/disassemble, (after struggling with it for a long time, my husband punched it in rage and the locks finally gave in, we were able to partially fold it then), 4. when used as a playpan, the pad sunk in in the middle. I got most use out of it as a changing table and ended up taking my son in our bed with us.

I had a c-section and the co-sleeper was a life saver my first few nights home. It was so easy to just turn over and pick my little girl up and not get out of bed. People say how wonderful it is for breastfeeding... I had to bottle feed my little one, and it's just as convenient for me as a breastfeeder! I'm also a little paranoid about leaving my baby alone in her nursery. I didn't want to have her sleep in the bed with my husband and I, so this is a great alternative! She loves being near us and we love waking up and seeing her (and being able to check on her all night without getting out of the bed!) This was an excellent buy for us!

My daughter slept in this co-sleeper from about 1 month to 3 months of age. While it is a steep price to pay for just a few short months, I would do it again. A must have, especially for breastfed babies! It was not level with our bed, but I didn't have any problems with this. I kind of liked that I knew she wouldn't be able to roll onto our bed.

Great Bassinet Solution for Twins

Since most bassinets are either too small or have a low weight capacity we were looking for a solution to put our twin newborns together in our room. The co-sleeper worked out great since the bassinet can hold up to 30 pounds instead of 15. As they get bigger there is no sag in the center like our other pack n' play had. This product does take a little more time to put together for travel purposes but for something you keep open all the time it great. Finally, it is sturdy and has held up to our 3 yr old leaning over the sides to look at the babies.
